Because our pets can’t tell us how they feel, diagnostic tests offer us valuable insight into their health and comfort. Whether done as part of a routine preventive care screening, in preparation for an anesthetic procedure, or in response to a change in your pet's general condition, we understand that an efficient and accurate diagnosis is in everyone's best interests. With our state of the art in-house equipment, complemented by visiting specialists and outside laboratories with advanced capabilities, we can get the answers you need to make informed decisions about your pet's care.

Through the use of noninvasive technologies, our animal care team is able to offer safe and painless assessments for a number of health issues, including:

  • Bladder stones

  • Hip dysplasia

  • Kidney, urinary and cardiac problems

  • Internal organ abnormalities

  • Pregnancy

In-house laboratory capabilities include:

  • General chemistries

  • Complete blood counts

  • Parvovirus testing

  • Heartworm screening

  • FeLV and FIV viral screening

  • Progesterone levels

Digital Imaging

Digital x-ray technology is key to achieving a rapid and accurate diagnosis in a variety of medical conditions, allowing us to minimize the amount of time your pet spends undergoing tests. All of our images are reviewed by a team of board-certified radiologists to help ensure a thorough diagnosis.

Another important tool in the arsenal of non-invasive diagnostics is the ultrasound, which affords us a real-time moving image of your pet's internal organs and typically with little to no sedation needed. Often times more precise and comprehensive than the x-ray, our team uses ultrasound technology for everything from urine collection to pregnancy scans, tissue biopsy and tumor evaluation.

Cardiac Evaluation

Aside from the stethoscope, digital imaging technology is the primary tool in evaluating your pet's heart health. We work with one of the leading area Cardiologists to offer a full range of cardiac health services including echocardiograms for the evaluation of heart murmurs, ongoing cardiac conditions, or breed related screening.
